Gromits Train

A small experimental arcade game made for GMTK Jam 2023!

The theme for this jam was "Role Reversal" and I landed on a runner where you act as the level instead of the runner; based on the vague idea of "Train, but you place the the tracks while it's running. Like that one scene from Wallace & Gromit.

Place tracks under the train and build a track to keep it moving forward and to avoid obstacles, you gain points for every track passed over so unnecessarily long and complicated paths are encouraged.

Extremely buggy! hence the "experimental" prefix. The train does it's best to follow the rails but can get stuck or looped.

Controls are listed on the start screen, you'll probably run into the train "hitching". simply delete the track underneath the train and replace with the appropriate part, it should start back up.
